Why has little pussy gone Catpoof?

Well if you are someone who allows you cat to roam free outside then it’s because you are an irresponsible pet owner. If you are the owner of an indoor cat that has accidently escaped outdoors and then disappeared I will offer you a range of possible explanations for its disappearance.

Predators Sadly Australia have very few native animals that kill and consume domestic cats. . The three species that do are the wedged tail eagle, dingo and Tasmanian Devil none of which have the range or numbers to have any significant impact on the Australian domestic cat population. The Brush tail possum when attacked has been known to inflict serious injuries upon domestic cats.

Australia’s native fauna must then depend on restaurants for control of the cat population. Have you ever asked yourself is what I am eating really lemon chick? Chicken kebab? Chicken casserole? Well the answer is that you may well have just eaten your cat.

One should never feel sorry for the outside cat they are vicious killers without morals or conscience. The domestic cat has contributed to the extinction of many species of Australian animals and continue to kill large numbers of native Australian animals each year.

“a recent survey showed that the average domestic cat brings home 16 mammals, 8 birds and 8 reptiles a year. Some more, some less. It is estimated that domestic1 cats kill 3.8 million native Australian animals each year”

But don’t give up hope there is a chance that your cat could still be alive.

Moved House The adorable little fur ball has found a residence it prefers and decided that it has no interest in returning to your home. What wonderfully loyal creatures cats are!

Pussynapped The other possibility is that someone has catnapped your cat., many cats are removed from their territory by someone who intentionally wants to get rid of them, like an irate neighbour, apartment manager, or pest control company.

Curiosity cats are curious and will explore anything that captures their attention. A cat will often get themselves into trouble in this way. They become trapped inside these places and starve to death or transported out of the area. Many of these cats, due to fear, will slink down in silence during the transportation process. We have all heard the story of the undertaker’s cat that was interred with the mayor.

Chased Away Sometimes Cats that are chased off by outdoor cats and are to scared to return home. In cases like this, frightened cats will not return home by themselves and have to be retrieved.

Small-minded, ill-informed and, if you are really trotting out that ridiculous urban myth about cats on the menu, of low intelligence and racially bigoted.

Politicly correct you maybe but you have absolutely no grasp of shoestring budgets on which these restaurants operate or the desperation of the owners who operate them. If you read this entry carefully you will realise that this is not racially motivated attack but a statement of fact. I have no problem with the consumption of cat meat as long as the animal is hygienically slaughtered and in many countries cat meat is considered a delicacy. My problem with the serving of cat in restaurants is that I want the meat to be prepared in a hygienic manner and if it has been prepared in hygienic manner then I am quite prepared to consume your cat.
